Package Protection Plan
Overview:
This Package Protection Plan provided by Rodeo Mart offers optional protection for packages against a variety of risks during transit. This Plan is optional and available for deselection at the time of purchase.
1. Coverage
1.1 Damage to Contents: Coverage for physical damage to the contents of the package during transit. Note: Damage limited to the external packaging is excluded.
1.2 Loss of Package: Coverage for packages officially declared lost by the carrier.
1.3 Misdelivered Packages: Coverage for packages confirmed by the carrier as delivered to the wrong address. Misdelivered packages fall into two categories:

Recovered Packages: If the carrier locates the misdelivered package and it is redelivered to the correct address, the claim will be closed upon successful delivery.

Lost Packages: If the misdelivered package cannot be recovered, it will be treated as a lost package under this Plan and resolved accordingly.
1.6 Electrical or Mechanical Derangement: Coverage for the malfunction of electronic or mechanical items without visible external damage.
1.7 Incorrect or Missing Items: Coverage for errors such as incorrect or missing items in the shipment that are the fault of Rodeo Mart.
2. Exclusions
2.0 Ground Shipments (Non-Guaranteed Delivery Times):

No coverage for packages that arrive later than the estimated delivery window for non-guaranteed services (e.g., USPS First Class, UPS Ground).

Delays due to high volume periods, weather, or operational disruptions are excluded.
2.1 Late Delivery on Guaranteed Services:

Coverage for late deliveries is limited to guaranteed shipping methods, such as UPS Next Day Air and UPS 2nd Day Air.

If the guaranteed service arrives later than promised, we will refund the difference between the service paid for and the actual delivery service received.

Example:
If you paid for Next Day Air but the package arrives in 2 days, we will refund the difference as if you had ordered 2nd Day Air.
2.2 Package Abandonment or Refusal:

No coverage for packages abandoned or refused by the recipient.
2.3 Incorrect or Incomplete Address:

No coverage for issues arising from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.
2.4 Packaging Damage Only:
-
No coverage for damage that is limited to the external packaging and does not affect the contents.
2.5 Fraudulent Claims:
-
No coverage for claims determined to be fraudulent.
2.6 Incorrect Orders:

No coverage for situations where the customer selects the wrong item, size, color, model, or provides incorrect specifications on custom items.
2.7 Theft of Package: Coverage for packages stolen during transit or upon delivery.
2.8 Weather-Related Damage: Coverage for damage caused by severe weather conditions during transit.
3. Claim Process
3.1 Notification Timeframe:

Send an email to support@rodeomart.com within 15 days of the shipment date.
3.2 Required Documentation:

For lost or misdelivered packages, provide and email with your order number and include the tracking number for the package in question.

For damaged items, include clear photos of the damage and packaging along with your order number and tracking number.

4. Settlement of Claims
4.1 Assessment:

Each claim will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
4.2 Return of Damaged Products:

In cases where a claim is approved for damaged products, the customer may be required to return the damaged items to Rodeo Mart.

Return shipping costs will be covered by Rodeo Mart.

4.3 Resolution Options:

Valid claims may be resolved through repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the nature of the claim.
5. Limitations of Liability
5.1 Value Cap:

Liability is limited to the declared value of the package or the insured amount, whichever is lower.
5.2 Exclusion of Indirect or Consequential Damages:

This Plan covers only the cost of the insured items themselves. It expressly excludes coverage for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

Lost competition entry fees

Missed sponsorship opportunities
-
Business income loss
-
Travel expenses
-
Emotional distress or inconvenience

6. Premiums and Payment
6.1 Cost:

The premium cost is a pre-calculated percentage of the order value, displayed at checkout.
6.2 Payment Terms:

Premiums are due at the time of purchase and are non-refundable.
7. General Provisions
7.1 Amendments:
-
This Plan may be amended by Rodeo Mart at its discretion without prior notice.
